My name is Ian Evertson and I am the man behind Rogers Lake Woodworking.

Growing up my father had his own construction company that transitioned to custom cabinetry work.

I remember watching my father as he constructed our town's playscape (a massive wooden playground) completely out of the basement of my childhood home.

Watching him craft cabinet cases with precision craftsmanship always piqued my curiosity, I would pick up specialized tools around his workshop and ponder their intended use.

During high school, I built my bass guitar with a flame maple top and an all-natural finish. Looks great and plays decent but weighs a ton.

When I was in college I created a knockdown board game table that featured hidden vault game areas.

I worked in home remodeling for several years, working on new construction, decking, roofing, and interior paint, but nothing interested me more than the cabinet work and installation.

During the global pandemic of 2020 I found myself in my garage most days building items like cutting boards and small gifts for friends and neighbors.

I spent the winter of 2021 converting my 2 car garage into a more functional work space and now I am woodworking full time creating furniture and other pieces for customers.

Wood chips have always been with me throughout my life so I will forever be dusty. Today I am picking up where my father left off with his woodworking in my own workshop where I hope to create wooden wonders just as my family did before.
